Time lapse recorders can record images from 3 hours (real time) to upto 960 hours on an ordinary 3 hour video tape
In the majority of cases we recommend that the longest recording time you use is 72 hours and in most cases 24 hours is a much better option. The longer you set the tape to last the fewer images are recorded.
This is why the majority of time lapse recorders we sell are 24 hour machines.
The date and time is also recorded on to the tape.
A normal video recorder can be used as long as it has a scart adapter. But remember in most cases the date and time will not be recorded and the tape will record for shorter periods.
